Benjy brings more than two decades of leadership and management experience in education and the nonprofit sector to his consulting work. A seasoned Head of School and organizational strategist, he helps leaders and boards navigate change, clarify vision, and build the systems and structures needed to thrive.
Drawing on his deep experience in day school leadership, Benjy understands firsthand the pressures today’s Heads of School face—from managing complex stakeholder relationships to responding to rapidly shifting community needs. Known for his thoughtful and analytical approach, he helps teams assess challenges from multiple perspectives and translate vision into clear, actionable strategies.
Before joining Evolve, Benjy served as Head of School at Bialik Hebrew Day School in Toronto, where he oversaw a period of significant growth, including the opening of a second campus, the creation of a professional learning program for educators, and a $1.8 million (CAD) campaign to establish a STEM Learning Commons. He previously led the Hebrew Academy of the Capital District in Albany, NY, where he strengthened academic programs and built strong community partnerships.
Earlier in his career, Benjy was a dedicated educator in Israel and the U.S., teaching Jewish history, literature, and government at the Israel Arts & Science Academy, Hebrew Union College’s High School in Israel program, the Hebrew Gymnasia and Rubin Academy High Schools, and the Florence Melton Adult Mini-School. His classroom experience continues to inform his empathetic and pragmatic approach to leadership and organizational development.
Benjy holds an MA in Public Administration with a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from George Mason University, an MA cum laude in Political Science from Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a BA in Political Science from Swarthmore College. He also holds teaching certificates from Swarthmore and David Yellin College in Jerusalem.
