Since 1949, the Stroum Jewish Community Center (SJCC)’s vision has been to serve as the Puget Sound’s most open and welcoming community-centered Jewish organization. SJCC seeks a strategic and skilled Chief Development Officer (CDO) who will work across the organization to elevate all development efforts, infusing a culture of philanthropy and building collaborative and synergistic approaches to financial health and sustainability. This senior managerial position will oversee SJCC’s goal of growing annual philanthropic revenue to $5 million by harnessing untapped philanthropic potential throughout the community. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CDO will serve as a key public face of the SJCC, projecting an inspiring fundraising narrative to draw stakeholders closer to its vision, impact, and future direction.
Strong candidates will bring 7+ years of proven success soliciting 6 and 7 figure gifts, building relationships with key stakeholders, managing comprehensive fundraising initiatives, team management expertise, sound leadership judgment, and the ability to promote an organization-wide culture of philanthropy.
