The Shalom Hartman Institute seeks a part-time Senior Development and Philanthropic Engagement Officer who will play a key role in building relationships with new individual donors and institutional funders throughout South Florida to further SHI NA’s strategic, programmatic, and philanthropic goals. This individual will be charged with building out an active network of new donors and prospects in key communities such as Boca Raton, Miami, Palm Beach, and beyond.
A successful candidate will be a creative and motivated self-starter, and will manage donor prospecting, plan ongoing donor/prospect events and meetings, manage strategic stakeholder engagement, and promote and recruit for the Hartman Giving Society across the region. Ideally, this candidate will bring at least 8 years of direct fundraising and major donor programmatic engagement experience with a demonstrated ability to manage relationships, solicit major gifts, and plan and execute special events. This role can be filled as either a staff position or a consultant between 60-75% time, and must be based in either the Miami, Boca Raton, or Palm Beach area. Modest travel expected domestically and occasional travel to Israel.
This is a part-time position, approximately 3-4 days per week.
