Summit Community Center (SCC) is a vibrant nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a supportive, social, and empowering environment for neurodivergent young adults and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities ages 18–35+. Guided by its mission to celebrate each member as a unique individual and recognize the value they bring to both the SCC community and the broader world, SCC focuses on building independence and fostering connection. Through its four pillars of Education, Community, Recreation, and Growth, SCC offers life skills training, social clubs, educational classes, recreation programs, leadership opportunities, and workforce development experiences that promote autonomy, belonging, and meaningful engagement.
SCC is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven Director of Development to build and lead a comprehensive and sustainable fundraising program that supports the organization’s continued growth and impact. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Development will design and manage all aspects of SCC’s development strategy, driving more than $1.2M in annual philanthropic revenue while deepening engagement with donors, families, corporate partners, and the broader community.
The Director of Development is a key strategic partner to the Executive Director and Board of Directors, working closely with staff, volunteers, and member families to advance SCC’s fundraising vision. The Director of Development will oversee the Development Coordinator and serve as a compelling ambassador for SCC’s mission, ensuring fundraising efforts authentically reflect the voices and achievements of the young adults SCC serves.
