Overview

Resetting the Table (RTT) equips leaders and communities with tools and skills to transform political differences into a source of strengthened relationship, collective insight, and creative problem-solving. RTT has brought together more than 45,000 multi-faith clergy, journalists, bridge-building practitioners, conservative and progressive activists, Hollywood content creators, and Jewish professionals and lay leaders across the country for courageous learning and dialogue across political divides.

Having recently launched its strategic plan, RTT seeks a full-time, visionary, experienced Chief Development Officer (CDO). The CDO will lead and implement the expansion of its development program and team to advance RTT’s mission, impact, and growth. With RTT on track to more than double its operating budget over 4 years from $1.3-$2.9 million, the CDO will work closely with the CEO to build upon the organization’s strong financial footing and base of institutional funders, creating a multi-year fundraising roadmap and culture of philanthropy throughout the organization. Compensation Range

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with CEO to drive and implement a comprehensive strategy to identify, cultivate, and solicit individual and institutional donors
  • Develop strategies to expand the current donor base while building a prospect pipeline, maximizing engagement of funders, and guiding staff inbuilding a culture of philanthropy
  • Manage a personal portfolio of current and prospective donors
  • Maintain and build existing foundation and community partner relationships, and identify new opportunities for partnership and support
  • Oversee project management for grant proposals, reporting, tracking, and donor acknowledgement
  • Supervise Development Associate to ensure the maintenance of donor database, accurate donor records, and donor communication
  • Work with Finance and Operations team to ensure optimization of financial reporting, cash flow analysis, and database management
  • Drive efficiency and efficacy in fundraising; liaise with program staff ensuring timely sharing of data, information, and stories for donor communication
  • Contribute to strategy and implementation for communications materials, in alignment with fundraising goals, to build greater visibility of RTT
  • Work with Communications team to raise RTT’s profile through pitch decks, newsletters, press releases, impact reports, and other key outputs

Qualifications & Skills

  • 7+ years of fundraising experience
  • Ability to represent RTT’s vision powerfully to diverse constituencies
  • Successful track record of soliciting five and six figure gifts
  • Experience with complex project management in a fundraising context
  • Superior written and verbal communication, public speaking and presentation abilities
  • Skilled in building authentic relationships with teams and donors
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Comfort working independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to make a strong case that depolarization, social cohesion, and bridge-building are urgent national priorities
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Technology familiarity, including MS Office, SurveyMonkey, AirTable, Dropbox, Zoom, Little Green Light, etc.
  • Knowledge of Jewish and/or democracy landscapes preferred
  • Willingness to work remotely as part of a national remote team
