The Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle was founded in 1928 to serve the greater Jewish community, locally and around the world. Their work is focused on Jewish continuity and is anchored in Jewish values. Thanks to the support of thousands of supporters and volunteers, Federation has been at the forefront of meeting the community’s wide-ranging needs – rescuing and resettling Holocaust survivors in the 1940s, helping Ethiopian and Russian immigrants in the 1980s and 1990s, and investing in the growth of Jewish organizations that today provide a broad range of human services, educational programs, and cultural opportunities.
As needs have evolved, the Federation has adapted to meet those challenges. Today, with the community’s support, the Federation leads a strong Jewish Puget Sound by serving as a community voice, strengthening connections to Israel and world Jewry, and making investments in Jewish life for today and the next generation.
The Federation is seeking a Director of Philanthropy to steward responsibility for the growth and diversity of the Federation’s donor base, owning all aspects of the solicitation process and leading its development and foundation teams. The Director will attract and serve high net-worth families by focusing on philanthropic impact and helping them reach their goals through the Federation. Reporting directly to the new CEO/President, a successful candidate will effectively leverage resources, connect people, and cultivate collaboration across the community in service to Jewish continuity.
The Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle is committed to diversity in the workplace and is an equal-opportunity employer
