Camp Ramah in the Poconos’ (CRP), part of the camping arm of the Jewish Conservative Movement, creates meaningful summer experiences for children from Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey in grades 2 – 10. Rooted in Jewish tradition and values, programs are designed to foster personal growth, develop strong relationships, and instill a lifelong love for Judaism. The overnight camp (Pocono Mountains), the day camp (Elkins Park, PA) and family programs provide immersive summer opportunities for children and families to encourage growth and independence as well as experience cultures of kindness, inclusivity, and joyful Judaism. CRP seeks an experienced Director of Advancement to partner with and support the Executive Director in all areas of philanthropy and communications. Overseeing all aspects of development, the Director of Advancement will ensure growth and achievement of the organizations $1M+ Chai Campaign as well as build on the foundation of capital, legacy, major gifts, and alumni campaign efforts. This position reports to and collaborates closely with the Executive Director and supervises a Development & Alumni Associate and a Database Coordinator. Serving as a member of the senior team focused on CRP’s programmatic and operational objectives for the future, the ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant nonprofit fundraising experience, preferably in a Jewish camp environment.
