Consultant, Talent Services

Julie Lyss

Seattle, WA

Julie brings nearly 25 years of experience as a fundraising and search professional to her role as Talent Consultant. As a former fundraiser, Julie brings expertise to searches for Directors of Development and any other leadership role in fundraising. As the former chairperson of a $5 million dollar capital campaign, Julie also understands the importance of volunteers and lay leaders in a successful fundraising program.

Prior to Evolve, Julie worked in executive search and fundraising for faith-based organizations, schools, and food banks such as The Hillels of Illinois, Greater Chicago Food Depository, and the Seattle Jewish Community School. Julie’s clients appreciate her expertise in retained search as well as her ability to understand client’s spoken and unanticipated needs, actively listen, and maintain open communication between clients and candidates. Outside of Evolve, Julie serves as President of the Board at the Northwest School in Seattle, runs a monthly lunch-making program to support a local women’s shelter through her temple, and is a founding member of a local anti-racist parent group.
