Serving a community that is diverse and a reflection of the entire Chicagoland Jewish community, CJDS's students develop a passion for learning and a strong sense of themselves as Jews and as human beings. Located in Chicago's Irving Park neighborhood, CJDS currently serves over 230 students from JK-8th grade.
CJDS is seeking a Director of Institutional Advancement who will lead their development efforts including the creation and implementation of an overarching development strategy, the school's annual campaign and the conclusion of its second phase of a $10M capital campaign. Key focus areas include developing and cultivating prospects, coordinating major gift solicitations, developing fundraising communications, planning events, and integrating the Board of Trustees into the school's development efforts. The Director will also lead grant writing, endowment development, and legacy giving efforts. Successful candidates will be goal-oriented and proactive, with strong organizational and people management skills, demonstrated experience in donor relations and solicitation, and can manage multiple deadlines. Ideally, candidates will have familiarity with the Jewish day school environment and a passion for both Jewish communal fundraising and CJDS's mission.
